Attorney Silverman Helps Ship Bikes to Sierra Leone

As a Long Island personal injury lawyer, Attorney Larry Silverman is committed
to helping injury victims in and around the Suffolk County community.
In his free time, however, Larry enjoys seizing any opportunity to help
improve the lives of others around the world. One recent example occurred
on October 17, when a group of former clients and colleagues joined Larry
to prep more than 230 donated bikes for shipment to Sierra Leone.
Bikes for the World
None of this would have been possible without the pioneering work of Bikes
for the World, a charitable organization whose goal is to provide transportation
to people in low-income areas and developing nations. To date they have
shipped more than 111,000 bicycles worldwide, helping to make a difference
for people living in impoverished areas such as Sierra Leone.
To learn more about this terrific cause, visit the
official Bikes for the World website.
With the help of other volunteers, Larry worked all day to stuff a shipping
container with 239 bicycles, and thousands of spare bicycle parts. When
the container was full, it left our storage area in Bohemia, NY, and begin
its journey to Sierra Leone. Once they arrive, they should help to better
the lives of students, workers, and even healthcare professionals, which
in turn should help benefit the community as a whole.
